There is an old expression that says, "If you have your health, you have everything. If you lose your health, you lose everything." On a larger scale, it is also true. Communities that have good access to health care grow strong. But communities that lose local health care lose their ability to prosper. Health care service is as much a cornerstone of the local economy as schools and business.

Fact: The Sabetha Community Hospital and the Sabetha Family Practice generate more than $15 million dollars in economic impact on the communities of Northeastern Kansas. This provides vital economic growth and stability from the direct provision of jobs, indirect support of local services and hospital employee spending on local goods.

The communities of northeastern Kansas know that philanthropy means to change the world with a giving heart. In 2001, the Sabetha Community Hospital asked for the community's support to build a new facility and equip it with the latest advances in medical equipment. The community responded with an outpouring of generosity and the new hospital campus was built.
