Electronic Health Records

Beginning January 9, 2017, patients at Sabetha Community Hospital and Sabetha Family Practice will see changes to their electronic health record. The hospital and family practice will transition to a Cerner electronic medical record. The Siemens Med Series 4 software system currently used by the hospital was bought by Cerner in the early part of 2015 and the Siemens system will no longer be supported. With the new Cerner system it will provide the capability to incorporate a record which will flow between the hospital and the physicians' office.

"I want to assure patients they will still have access to their current medical record but the new system will enhance the continuum of care for all patients. Currently, staff is in training in anticipation of the January 9 th "GO LIVE" date with the Cerner System. Over the next several months we will endeavor to keep our patients informed about the changes taking place."
